Emergency Alert Systems from Emergency Manager Andrew Phelps, City of Santa Fe

Click here for more information about this system.
The system uses the 9-1-1 database provided by the local telephone company, so only land-line numbers are already in the system. If you have a Voice over IP (VoIP) or cellular telephone and would like to be notified over that device, or if you would like to receive notification by email or text, you can register those telephone numbers and/or email addresses for use by the system.

This community information service used by the City of Santa Fe Office of Emergency Management and Santa Fe Police Department and several Santa Fe County departments to send community information. Messages may be received by SMS text or e-mail. Nixle is a FREE service to you (standard text messaging fees may apply). Users can select the types of alerts they wish to receive (some departments push community info, not just emergency alerts, through this system…).

The City of Santa Fe Office of Emergency Management is also active on Twitter (, which we use for providing preparedness information, alerts and warnings (our Nixle account feeds into our twitter page), and it serves as a great tool for interacting with and engaging the community (we always respond to inquiries posted via Twitter).
